My First Flat In London England

September 5th, 2009 3 comments

This is the living room of my first flat in Swiss Cottage, London, England.  I lived at 5 Adamson Lane just a stones throw from the Swiss Cottage tube stop.  This was a great neighborhood and location. Could be in central London in about 10 minutes by cab, 2o by tube…..  I often times walked to work which took about an hour but it was a great morning walk through Regents Park past St John’s Wood then on to Baker Street past Sherlock Holmes fictional home-office and then toward Selfridges on Oxford for a quick cup of espresso before arriving at 7 N. Audley St on Grosvenor Sq.

Dytzel Family In St Marks Square Venice Italy 1963

Dytzel Family In St Marks Square Venice Italy 1963

When I was a kid our family lived in Vicenzia, Italy.  My father was a career air force man and as a result I spent the biggest part of my childhood in Europe.  This photo was taken around 1963 in St. Marks Square in Venice.  We went to Vencie quite often as it was not very far from where we lived in Vicenzia.  That is my mom (Bonnie) on the right looking as good as ever…..  My dad (Jack) is kneeling down and holding me while I feed the pigeons.  The man and kids on the left were friends of our who were stationed in Italy as well.  I believe there names were MacMillans.  Lots of good memories from those days and lots of photos coming from Italy, Germany and the rest of Europe in the 1960’s and early 70’s.
