Rodalben Germany My Childhood Home
This is a photo of a small town in southwest Germany called Rodalben. Our family lived here from 1965-1970 while my dad was in the air force. This was and from what I see on the Internet today, a great little town. During world war II Rodalben was the center of the German boot making industry and as a result got quite a bit of attention from allied bombers. I have some absolutely fantastic memories from this place and hope to someday return.

Rodalben was my childhood home as well (1964-1976) – father was civil service engineer at nearby Pirmasens Army Base (now closed). Was back there in 2006 (after the WM) – hasn’t changed much (except downtown seems so much more lonelier). Was a great place to grow up (even if it is/was a Dorf).
I was in Rodalben same time. I lived at 25 Lowenstrasse…. loved that place
