My 9 year old daughter informed me this morning that she wanted to cook breakfast.  She has been watching a lot of FoodNetwork TV lately and I think she has aspirations of being a chef.  That would be cool.  Anyway she said she wanted to cook and I said ok expecting her just to make some eggs and toast.  Well I was wrong.  When I went to check on her after smelling bacon she had a good old fashioned country breakfast going for me, my son and his sleepover friend.  We had eggs, toast, bacon and fried potatoes …………  how cool is that.  (of course dad got stuck with cleanup duty but that’s ok)

Dreaming of warmer weather and drives in the country. I know it sounds cheesey but hey, it’s winter and I am tired of cold.

Today it was a cloudy 65 degrees with a nice breeze in Madisonville, KY. Yesterday it was sunny and about 60. A hint of spring in the air. Here are two pictures from last week when the scene out the front door was much different.
