German Food Memories At Fort Campbell KY Commissary
My father has been retired from the Air Force for more than 30 years but as a retiree he still has access to the military exchange system. Every once in a while I go with them to Fort Campbell to the post exchange and the commissary. There is always a great selection of foods that you would find overseas but not in Kroger or Wal-Mart or any other major U.S. supermarket chain.
Anyway, being a military brat who spent the biggest part of his childhood in Italy and Germany, I became hooked on certain foods. While at the commissary I went down the aisle with all the German sweets…………. ah this is some good stuff, especially the cookies and the cheeses.
